Found out my home's previous owner had the carpet glued down in one of the rooms. Could hardwood eventually be installed over top?

    Over top the pulled out carpet, yes. But not overtop any carpet. Most all stuck on pad can be just ( if the carpet had padding on the back) just scraped off. Glue is so thin you can go over that.. GL
