My pc set up is Nvida EVGA 660 non ti gpu, cpu, is, Amd 8350 FX 8gb of ram windows Vista 64 bit, I am trying to determine if I need a bet?

cpu for example like the amd Versia or Phenom 2 to run games such as Dead rising 3 and Far Cry 4, these 2 games lag on my system with using the 660 and i've heard Amd Readion cards perform better then Nvidia, EVGA cards and what I was thinking about upgrading to was the Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP TRI-X OC PCI-Express Graphics Card with Boost (UEFI) 11221-12-40G and if this what I should do please let me know also is there a performance difference in this R9 280x compared to the R9 290x, Thank you.

No such thing a amd versia and the phenom series are older than the one you have. The 280x would be a good upgrade and yes obviously there is a performance difference between the 280x and 290x
