How many of you Obama-Care enrollees underestimated your income?

Update:

You do know that if you reported less than you actually earned for 2014 to get a bigger subsidy, you will have to pay taxes on anything earned over that amount.

Update 2:

You could receive a smaller tax return or even have to pay money to the IRS, if you underestimated your income to get a smaller monthly premium payment. Underestimating is not lying, since you had no way of actually knowing exactly how much you were to earn in 2014.

Irrelevant. Income discrepancies will be discovered at Tax time. Corrections will be made, refunds delayed. Could become a bigger problem since all the taxes and fees imposed to pay for the subsidies actually produced very little revenue to pay for the subsidies. This revenue shortfall may be compensated for with further corrections to some peoples Tax refunds. (If the subsidies were a gallon jug, the new revenue might add a pint and a half in the bottom of the jug.)

Didn't need to cheat. The plan we have now has better coverage and is cheaper. Our friends tell us they've found this to be the case for them as well.

The conservative propaganda about the ACA is mostly crap. I'll agree the law needs changes -- but conservatives have yet to address any of the real problems. I figure they've spent so long sling mud they've forgotten how to engage in real policy analysis and debate.

Since I get Tricare from my military retirement and VA from my injuries, I never had to get insurance in my life, even though I have had Kaiser in the past when I had a really good job. Na_na_ne_na_na

is "underestimated" a euphemism for "lied about"? sure seems like it to me ...

locals here are guessing 1/3rd, based on the rather high quality of the cars we see in the welfare office visitors parking lot -- which is about the same as the estimated proportion of liars on food stamps and housing assistance
