Question about offsets. I was recently made aware that my refund may be offset. I called the TOP line and they said it could be...?

but wasn't sure it would actually be. My question is, if you have had your refund offset, when WMR updates to approved and lists the refund amount down the left hand side, it says refund amount, if it has been offset would it list the refund minus the offset there? If you do not know the answer please do not answer. I cannot get any answers wether it was actually offset or not.

If your refund is being offset by the IRS for past due taxes the WMR page may reflect that fact.

Other offsets rarely show there since the refunds are actually processed by another agency, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, who also processes external offsets. Back channel communication between the IRS and BFS is shaky at best.

No, the offset happens after WMR updates.

It could say either. You'll know when you actually get your money (or not).
