What does anyone know about Charge Bikes?

Update:

I was at a Performance Bicycle shop in Raleigh, NC yesterday and they had a 2015 Charge Plug model at a discounted price, which I am did not buy on impulse. I currently own and ride a 1988 Miyata 312 Competition that I bought new back in late 1987 or 1988. I'll be 50 in July and do not really need another bike at all, but I did like this Charge Bike and it would be a modern upgrade to my Miyata.

Update 2:

When asked if I wanted to take it for a spin, I declined, since I knew that id I did, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Charge is a brand that originated in the UK. They have more of a vintage take on bikes, more or less, and in my opinion are over priced but perhaps have some value if reduced.

If it were me, I would take care of the Miyata, drop the money on a complete overhaul (tear the bike apart down to the individual pieces, refurbish, and reassemble) unless you really want a new bike.

It would be a good bike for rougher city streets or even a bit of off road riding. Never seen one before. But the specs are decent. Nice Kenda Small Block 8, 700x32 tires. Basic Shimano Sora components. Does the bike fit you & does it feel right on a test ride?

You can never have too many bikes. It's the N + 1 formula. https://coresites-cdn.factorymedia.com/rcuk/wp-con...
