Is it enough just to say you are for "Equality" -- or do you actually have to apply the same "Equality" test to both men's & women's Issues?

Update:

Feminists just SAY they are about equality, but never prove it.

Update 2:

There are a lot of good answers here, but I have to choose one!

Feminists have supported numerous pieces of legislation which gender discriminate against males and for females, directly contradicting their often stated claim that they support gender equality.

No, it's not enough to just say you are for equality. The same simple test should be applied whenever there is a question of gender inequality. The test is just one question: Are we treating men and women the same way? If the answer is yes, then there is no gender inequality. If the answer is no, you have inequality.

These days, most men are all for real gender equality. The problem is women don't want to give up the privileges traditionally afforded to their gender. The ones who claim treating men and women the same way is unfair are the worst offenders by far.

"Equality" is just another word who's definition has been perverted by the social justice warriors in the modern day Feminist movement. Of course, dictionary defined "equality" is based on - Equal-. So it shouldn't even be necessary to ask this question. Of course the application of -Equal- needs to apply to issues on all sides ... not just women ...or "women's equality", or "women's rights" ... all famous feminist sayings which pervert the proper definition of the words.

The false feminist notions that lead to these perversions are based on some very incorrect notions. For many feminist adherents .... unbelievably .... they still don't understand that in all the first world nations, women have attained equal legal Rights and opportunities to men. For these people, the concept of "equality" is to have women attain equal Rights -------NEWSFLASH ------- This has already occurred. Long ago.

But for most other feminists, they somehow believe that individual social discrimination and negative stereotypes exist ONLY for women .... and that the whole society is responsible to take care of any and all negative social aspects that occur against women as a group.

The realities about the negative societal outcomes and stereotypes, as well as LEGAL discrimination against men (something that does NOT occur against women), are not even entertained .... or fully dismissed by feminists who simply assert that men are "privileged". End of story!

If you are for equality then you would by default have to apply the same tests of equality to both men and women or else you are advocating for something else. I would go further than that and say you have to apply the same tests of equality to all people. This is where the MRA and feminist movement stray from the path because they only see equality in terms of gender and due to this exclude everyone else beside the gender they advocate for.

The concept of equality is what we debate here all the time. The men who are anti-feminist do not acknowledge most of the OBVIOUS issues women have and exaggerate a few bandaid solutions made to fix these in the USA and then spew hate at feminists all over the world saying feminists are not fair when they are the most unfair by far - and really I believe they do not want real equality for women AT ALL - they just pretend - They want to keep women down - it's pure ugly sick male sexism against women to put them down and keep them down.
