Has anyone bought a new steel road bike?
I'm not talking about those bikes that you can get from any big box store either.
Somehow my front forks were bent on my 1988 Miyata 312 Competition Road Bike. My shop was able to return it to the original geometry. But since I've been riding it since I bought it new in 1988, I am thinking about retiring it and getting a new bike. So I want a Steel Bike, but do not really want to spend more that $2000.00 US on it either.

The 2016 model is both lower in price & has a wider range of gears on the 10 speed cassette. Mine came with a 12 - 30. 2016 model uses an 11 - 34, ten speed cassette. In a word...smoooooooth. #SteelisReal

Of course. I buy 2 or 3 new steel-framed bikes a year and design at least one for customers who generally buy hundreds of them at the very least... usually thousands.
