why xbox one is not selling as much as ps4?

despite similar pricing and a better online experience why xbox one lags behind ps4 in terms of sales?

    the initial xbox one release was received poorly by fans it was $500 to start, had to come with the kinect, which had to always be on, and you couldn't get used games for the console like you can now. there was no backwards compatibility, and the user face for xbox one home wasn't like it is now. it's been revamped with new head of Xbox Phil Spencer, and they took fan suggestions seriously and listened.

    because of that, they got a slow start.

    PS4 is better in terms of gameplay.

    Could mostly be due to the One's initial strategy of always online, couldn't borrow games, etc.
