Positive angles x and y are such that x + 2y = 300 degree and tan y = 2 cos 160 degree. Find their values.?

    First find y.

    .. y = arctan(2*cos(160°)) = arctan(-1.879385) = 118.017°

    Then find x.

    .. x = 300 - 2y = 300° - 236.034° = 63.966°

    x = 63.966° ≈ 64°

    y = 118.017° ≈ 118°
