What violin do I need?

I used to play violin when I was in 8th grade but after then I stopped. I know how to play but it's been a while. I want to get one for my birthday or Christmas but idk which one I should get and the size and anything else I need to know about getting anything else. please let me know what kind I should get.

    If you're old enough to post here you need a 4/4.

    You get decent beginner outfits that were set up for maximum sound and playability from reputable string dealers.

    You get violins of questionable quality that were not set up correctly from guitar stores and general music stores.

    You get cheap junk marketed to people who don't know any better from internet discount places.

    Choose your source carefully and you won't need to become an expert on which brands are better made.
