Why has federal government become so completely Republican (House, Senate, President, and soon the Supreme Court)?

A recent election. Probably the balance will shift in the next elections, in two years. I expect Trump will anger a lot of voters and a D pres. will be next. Not that Ds and Rs differ in meaningful ways.

Well part of it is the Electoral College, which (along with the most regressive Supreme Court in our history) has given us two of the last three presidents.

But so long as we have the vote (well, most of us do) we have nobody to blame but ourselves. I'm afraid we Americans are ignorant and craven and cowardly and a little stupid. We go by words, not actions. We go by fears, not hopes. We are self-abosrbed and petty and intolerant, and we're going to suffer for it. By golly, we're going to get what's coming to us!

Because the left wing have become obsessed about homosexuals, Muslims, refugees, and global warming, and care only about political power and parasitic privileges.

Its hard to say. I think it has a lot to do with bullying from liberals.
