Should I feel guilty about not keeping in contact with my best friends family after he passed away?

10 months ago my best friend lost his battle with cancer and it was the worst day of my life.

Since he passed away I haven t kept in contact with his family because I know that every time I will see them, I would get upset because it will remind me of him.

I want to try and make an effort but it s really difficult for me as this is the first time I lost someone who was close to me.

What should I do?

Thank you.

it might help you out to keep in contact with them, that way you have people around that are going thru the same thing you are, you could help each other that way

Yes. You lost a fiend and they lost a son/brother/grandchild whatever. They need to know that people still care. We all have to do things that are hard, unless we are cowards.
