If you had a DUI expunged. If you are asked on a job application if you had a conviction what would the proper answer be?

Expunged means that no record of the DUI conviction exists. You can say no, because they won't find evidence of it.

If the question is have you ever been convicted, the ONLY true answer is yes.

I would say no, because the conviction has been removed from my record. Its entirely possible that it may still exist somewhere on a computer and may even come up on a records check, but legally it no longer exists.

In theory No but just becasue your DUI has been expunged its doesn't mean the original conviction isn't still out there in the web, There are a few third parties companies which collect criminal data store it and resell to companies doing back ground checks

Its a good idea once you have your DUI expunge to send the info to these companies to update the data base
