Let's wrlte gun laws that are similar to.the laws that govern the ownership and operation of motor vehicles

License ,registration ,insurance,

State power to.suspend or revoke license and registration

State power to confiscate guns

Gun owners and gun.sellers being personally liable for all crimes that are committed with their guns

Congress DOESN'T write new gun laws after every shooting. If they did, and closed some of the loopholes that currently exist, like requiring background checks at gun shows and private gun sales, and banning high-capacity guns and semi-automatic weapons, maybe it would make a difference. And Congress recently APPROVED a measure that would allow mentally ill people to buy guns, which is just nuts.

It's almost like if you don't make the weapons completely and utterly illegal this will continue to happen. Seriously, nice attempt at spin, but the fact is this wouldn't be happening constantly if there was no legal path to owning these weapons. inb4 somebody replies telling me about gang violence in chicago
