Yahoo answers hacked?

I tried answering a question and I got a popup stating my machine had some crazy virus that was stealing my contacts, credit card numbers blah blah and to call Microsoft Tech support with a number to dial. Obviously a scam.

    Yahoo has gaps in it that allow scammers to pop up the messages you got.

    Close your browser, clear your history and do not respond to the scammers.

    Yahoo Answers is not Hacked your Computer Likely has Malware on it do a Spyware/Virus scan on your Computer and Delete anything that it Finds

    I don't think the popup has anything to do with Yahoo Answers.
