Nope. Tupperware will melt at temperatures as low as 200 degrees. Ever leave Tupperware on the counter or in a window? It melts.

NO! plastic omits toxins in heat that will infect your food
that also applies with microwaving plastic!
hope that helps

It doesn't have to melt outright to damage it.

I would not. Check with Tupperware to see what the max temp is. A hot water bath might be better.

I'm fairly knowledgeable about chemistry, so I'm not speaking just from the kitchen. Any temperature that keeps food warm enough to count will begin to degrade the plastic. Any temperature that keeps it hot enough to eat will begin to destroy it.

I wouldn't. Even if the tupperware doesn't melt, even low oven temperatures can cause plastic to give off toxic gases. So unless the container specifically says it's oven proof...don't put it in the oven.

I'd love to be there to see that.
Even more interesting would be later, when you try to clean all the plastic off the inside of your oven.
Use aluminum foil if you don't have anything else.

No. It will melt. If you want to keep it warm in the oven, put it in a glass or metal container.
