He has to visit New Zealand next.

He has to spread himself thinly over lots of different countries and events. Given the personal choice who would probably have liked to stay with the games but he has a job to do.

Harry is on an official royal tour; he was in Australia for the first few days of the games and then had other countries to visit.

Cannot stick to anything the royals, feckless is what they are.

He arrived in Australia nearly a week before the Games, took part in the opening ceremony and attended the first two or three days of the Games then he had other commitments in some of the neighbouring Commonwealth countries where he went as the Queen's representative.

Why should he stay there all the time he had other engagements. I would hardly call it pissing off. If you don't like the way he behaved, you have two choices

Either lump it or contact the organers of his tour of Australia and complain

But I wish you luck with that one.

    no

    no reason to

he is the patron of the games not the owner

That probably wasn't in the plans, he opened the Games, stayed for a while and then had other engagements and commitments to fulfil. I am sure everyone understood this.
