    Best: Cheers.

    Worst: Sopranos.

They had the chance to make television history with the finale of the Sopranos, and they blew it bad. Anything would have been better than a fade to black. Have someone totally unexpected whack Tony, the FBI arrest him, anything to be shocking and unpredictable and keep people talking.

I watched both the MASH finale and cheers when they were originally broadcast. MASH was probably better done but Cheers is my favorite comedy show. Also watched the Newhart finale but I wasn't familiar with his original show at the time! I didn't get the joke at the time.

Worst has to be ALF, by far. He gets picked up by the Alien task force and there was no explanation whatever happend to him.

Best, trying to think... I liked the last episode of Roseanne(1997), when she said the last season was basically a dream, where they actually didn't win the lotto.
