    They live beyond their means. They are the ones with a $2K mortgage. Just like the rest of us, never thinking that a emergency situation will ever happen.

    Since the Reagan era there’s been a negative stigma against government workers claiming their salaries were too high, with a “not with my tax dollars” mentality. So while inflation has gone up, federal worker salaries have largely remained the same

    The average TSA agent makes $30,000 a year. Many federal employees are low-paid workers. Many of the contractors' employees also don't make much money.

    Be realistic. Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Federal employees are no different. That is the reality.

    Some federal employees are well paid. Many others are only making about $15/hour. Also, had Trump not ended the tantrum by the Democrats the federal employees affected would have missed their second paycheck.
