    Well, you're half right.

It is time for students of the evolutionary process, especially those who have been misquoted and used by the creationists, to state clearly that evolution is a fact, not theory, and that what is at issue within biology are questions of details of the process and the relative importance of different mechanisms of evolution. It is a fact that the earth with liquid water, is more than 3.6 billion years old. It is a fact that cellular life has been around for at least half of that period and that organized multicellular life is at least 800 million years old. It is a fact that major life forms now on earth were not at all represented in the past. There were no birds or mammals 250 million years ago. It is a fact that major life forms of the past are no longer living. There used to be dinosaurs and Pithecanthropus, and there are none now. It is a fact that all living forms come from previous living forms. Therefore, all present forms of life arose from ancestral forms that were different. Birds arose from nonbirds and humans from nonhumans. No person who pretends to any understanding of the natural world can deny these facts any more than she or he can deny that the earth is round, rotates on its axis, and revolves around the sun.

The controversies about evolution lie in the realm of the relative importance of various forces in molding evolution.

The teaching of evolution is a fact but evolution is not a fact.

Things do not change into other animals. A bird does not become a fish or the other way around. But in each species they have adaptation has created a variety in that species. animals were much smaller. They have bones of Elephants that were the size of dogs. Then the bigger elephants survived to breed. So they got bigger and bigger. Cats were all small, very small in the Egyptian mummies but the bigger ones in the wild survived better and cats got bigger and bigger. So did dogs who were once very small to. Pigs were once tiny little pink animals. Then they brought them to the new world and turned them loose. some turned into razor back hogs. They did not evolve into horses, but bigger hogs.

No. There are no transitional forms that verifies the theory of evolution and many scientist also do not agree with it. Dinosaur extinction does not and even the humanoid remains known as "Lucy" were proven not human or considered a transitional form.

Personally, evolution is demonstrable and as such, I accept the science. I have not seen any demonstration of a God, only assertion. This doesn't mean that no God/Gods exist. Just that I have no reliable information either way. As such, I cannot assume one does exist or any specifics about it since it is beyond the realm of my knowledge. It may exist but if it is outside of my ability to know then how can I know? It is like a dog or cat in a Library, the information may be all around it but it lacks the mind necessary to grasp it.

As far as the God story written in Genesis, that cannot be a literal history as perceived by a straight reading of the text. This is because the Genesis story and many branches of science (including evolution) are in direct conflict with each other. Two contradictory things cannot both be true at the same time.

    Good for you.

    That's nonsense.

Evolution relies upon death whereas death only came by sin.

My opinion is that you can't combine fairy tales ( religions / sects) with science, which is based on facts, not on some weird stories and gods that one day, men decided to create.

It's like mix the story about the little blue Smurfs, with the discovery of DNA.
