Is 15 too late to start volleyball?
Technically, it’s never too late to start sports, but what I mean is: is 15 too late to start playing volleyball and make it onto a team?
In 8th grade, I was on my elementary school volleyball team. Since it was elementary school, nobody was given any real positions or anything, but I guess I played the setter mostly? (I wasn’t tall enough to spike, and I wasn’t skilled enough to dive for the ball either, so I usually got second ball).
In grade 9 (this year) I didn’t try out for the volleyball team because I knew I wasn’t good enough to make the team, and I can’t overhand serve yet.
Next year, I want to make the junior volleyball team (grade 9’s and 10’s) and hopefully play either setter or libero.
Since I don’t really have any experience, is it too late to start?

No, you are coming into your own and you may just be the best on your team your senior year, if your give it your all and put in the extra practice.
Talk to the coach and tell her/him you want to be a better than good player.
Then you ask the coach, "How do we make that happen"?.

Not to late at all.
Check the websites of volleyball clubs and gyms in the area and take some volleyball camps this summer. They may even have a summer league that you could play in.
Since volleyball is a fall sport high schools sometimes have open gym that any student can attend over the summer that you could attend so the coach gets to know you and you can meet others interested in volleyball. Check your school’s website to see what they offer.

As many have stated it's never too late. But that being said if you lack the skill...And you WANT to make the team, do something about it. Join a Gym that might have volleyball classes. Try to find a place to join a summer or year round league. Also there are volleyball camps that sometimes takes place that you may want to try and sign up for. Learn the rules, learn the skills, practice...Not just by yourself. You need to play with people. It is the only way to get better.

no, it's not. even middle school "experiences" are still good because you learn the fundamentals.
