You may want to consider the fact that there are 2 or 3x as many 1200w amps as there are 1500w amps -- and the power difference is barely worth considering. 25% power increase is almost nothing to the ear.

You obviously don’t know much. You don't need 1500 watts. I'll bet you don't know that a 1500 watt system is only twice as loud as a 150 watt system. Fact. It's a law of acoustic physics. 500 watts RMS is more than enough to damage your hearing at less than full volume. Besides that, you'd need to upgrade your alternator to run a 1500 watt amp.
