What does it mean when my Honda CRV beeps multiple times when I close the door and walk away?

Well it depends if its a push to start. Because if it is, it beeps when the car is on (in ignition) and the keys are not in the car. If you have it in ignition and its in park, and you go out of the car with the remote keys, it will start to beep.
