One of my employers did not deduct taxes from my paychecks. No t4 to file for my taxes either. Anybody know anything about this?

You need to get back to that former employer & explain to him/her that you need a T4 slip for tax reporting purposes. That T4 must show the earnings before taxes, & how much taxes were deducted along with any other benefits, etc. Were you paid in cash or by cheques? If there were any deductions at all, it should show on the pay stubs. You'll have to declare the income, & risk owing taxes after filing.

Sounds like they are treating you as an independent contractor

Take the test and see if you really are.

You're either classified as an independent contractor or they are paying you under the table. Legally, you still owe taxes on the money.

They are treating you as self-employed.

It's called working off the books, or "under the table", and is illegal for the employer, and for you too if you don't report the income for taxes.

Then you're probably not being hired legally.
