Are my kittens ready to be rehomed?
My female cat just gave birth to her kittens 5 days ago, I’m just wondering if they can be rehomed at this age as I’m not getting any sleep with the meowing.
Thanks

Way too young. Perhaps you should have thought about that before allowig her to breed.

No at all!! Kitten's don't start to ween until 8 weeks of age, which is when they can start to be re-homed. I suggest you stick it out and re-home them after 8 weeks, and then get your cat fixed to save you both frustration in the future. Also, prepare yourself for the absolute chaos that is kittens learning their limits and exploring, because if their newborn mewing upsets you, you'll be sobbing by 8 weeks.

Kittens should not be rehomed till a MINIMUM of 10 weeks old. Ideally not till 3-4 months old with first shots. If you can't stand the kittens, then take mom and kittens to a shelter or rescue group. Your fault for allowing the mother cat to get pregnant - had she been spayed you would have no need to be rehoming kittens.

Of course not. They will not be ready for new homes until they are at least 6 to 8 weeks of age and eating solid food.

Are you insane? They should be at least three months old before re homing them. If you didn't want kittens, you should have gotten your cat neutered.

This is way too early. The kittens need to spend more time with their mother before being independent. Usually, they are ready in around 3 months.

Far too early. Shame about your sleep loss.
