    No sense of humour

    Love following rules.

Will inform on their neighbours to the authorities if they break even minor regulations.

    Very methodical and well organized.

Occupy all the sunbeds at hotel pools for the day by leaving their towels at 6am.  Oddly they do this even though it is normally against hotel regulations.

However these are stereotypes and as an Englishman,I still find Germany a delightful place to go on holiday and personally find the people to be very helpful and polite.

    Just don't mention the war!

Sorry guys it's a very old  joke which I couldn't resist.

    1. That all Germans look like people from Bavaria. {Lederhosen, Hut, Dirndel}

But the truth is, Bavaria is only a small part of Germany.

So using that stereotype offends every of the 60 million people who have nothing to do at all with Bavaria in Germany.

    2. That all Germans are like Hitler.

The truth is, the generations born after 1950 have nothing to do with Hitler anymore.

Except theses who are called "Neo-Nazis".

But this is a very small group of stupid people.

You offend about 79 million people by using this stereotype.

By the way, Hitler was not a German.

But Hitler was a dictator. So you can rather say "All dictators are like Hitler".

    3. All Germans are punctual.

Yes, thats true. The clock is very important for the german society.

But there are also easygoing people out there, who dont care that much.

    4. Germans love beer, wurst, pretzel, etc.

As a country that producing very good beer, sausages and pretzel, they like them much.

But that does not mean that every german likes beer, sausages and pretzel.

Actually the german taste is very international.

No sense of humour would probably be at the top of my list. But they are also organised to the point of being OCD, and recognise the value of maintaining their architecture, managing to update without tearing down (externally). I have found the class system is alive and kicking with the German person I have had first hand experience of, something that has it's good and bad points. They are usually environmentally clean/aware and give visitors value for money. This all in general!
