Why do extremely stupid people use Wikipedia? Wikipedia is full of unverified nonsense, original research, and NPOV violations.?

Update:

Everything on Wikipedia that isn't in Britannica is suspect for extreme inaccuracies. They get rated only for a small set of core curriculum items, not their overall accuracy. Especially when it comes to talking about science based on research papers (since most Wikipedians are illiterate and never read past the abstract before claiming a paper says something it doesn't)

Because they're too stupid to do actual research, so they blindly believe whatever idiotpedia tells them to believe.

It is right on most things, I find. It doesn't lie about Japan being a country of Asia, for example.

Anyone can create a Wikipedia page to insult or use false information about someone, a lot of the things on there isn't true but most of it is true and made by people who know what they are putting on there.

Wiki's not as bad as people make it out to be. In my field and others, it offers many excellent articles, written by educated professionals.

Moreover unlike many other sites, Wiki articles can be corrected by people who know what they're talking about. If you find an error elsewhere, you can notify the site owner, but there's no guarantee it will be fixed.

Finally, while I don't accept Wiki article as sources in my classes, they do give student references and external bibliography that they can find in libraries and read for themselves.

Original research is a GOOD thing, dear. That's what scholars do. It's something that should be encouraged.

I don't use it for politics, but I have used it for general info in which bias would serve no purpose.

Wikipedia contains some real jewels and a lot of garbage of the type that inhabits facebook. Which of these one picks reflects education and IQ. Idiots avoid the jewels (which they are incapable of understanding and assume, therefore, that what is written is garbage but WE know where the REAL garbage is).

If you are looking up facts for a term paper, why not use wikipedia?
