Should I wear shorts when I visit Dallas Texas?

Next July I’m planning on 2 week vacation to Dallas Texas.

It will be toward the end of July and the temperature will be 87 or 98 or 99 or 100 degrees.

I will be spending a lot of time outdoors and I don’t want to get sweaty or overheated or dehydrated, etc.

So should I wear shorts in terms of dressing appropriate for the weather?

Yes, a lot of people in the Dallas area do. Drink plenty of water.

You've never experienced temperatures in the high 90s, have you? It doesn't matter what you do- you'll be sweaty and uncomfortable outside. Inside, everything is super- air -conditioned, and you'll be cold.

I recommend a floor length evening gown with satin opera gloves and a rhinestone headband. Dallas is a very fancy place, despite their reputation for riding horses and shooting at aluminum cans.
