What state has the best BBQ?

I live in KC area and have bbq frequently and most other states that I visit, their bbq it is just not as good. Am I just not going to the right places or is KC really the best place for bbq?

There is no such thing as a single "best" BBQ.

There are so many versions of BBQ (usually the sauce, but sometimes the style of cooking) that best loses its meaning.  KC BBQ is noteworthy and many enjoy that style.  But Texans have their brand and Hawaiians have theirs.

I frankly enjoy the Hawaiian Luau BBQ, pulled pork, the best.  But that's just me.

oooh, there is great bbq all over the place, but go 10 miles down the road and the taste may taste totlly different
