How can I dissolve gauze?
I had surgery and part of the gauze dressing is not coming off when I pull on it. The wound is starting to heal around the gauze now and pull it into the body. I called my doctor and he said to slowly dissolve it with antibiotic ointment. Is there some solution that I can use that will do the job more quickly but safely? I'm starting to get nervous about it. Thank you.
