    Yes. There is no vaccine nor a drug you can take to eliminate the virus. The fatality rate (as a percentage) is far greater than flu. There is evidence that shows that the virus can live while airborne, and can stay alive on surfaces longer than influenza.

    No. Spanish flu killed between 50 and 100 million people and we're still here. 5 to 10 thousand dead world wide so far is a tiny amount by comparison.
