Are we heading towards another depression?

I don't think so.
A big reason the 1930s depression happened was because governments and central banks didn't know how to respond to it properly. Congress is debating a stimulus package, talking about propping up and bailing out businesses, and the central bank cut rates while is offering liquidity to US banks. Absolutely none of this stuff happened back then.
