What are these in my yard?

There’s a section of raised grass in our yard, that is in an almost straight line of grass that is greener and longer than the rest. We did have a problem with moles a few years back, and many other animals as well. We live in the Midwest.

More likely it is a fungus, they can produce mushrooms.  The reason the grass is greener and growing taller is that the fungus breaks down organic material making more nitrogen available for the plants growing near it.

Interesting. I too think it may be the route of a mole tunnel.  They can disturb the roots of surface plants while digging, though they don't actually eat them, and maybe this is what has happened, though more likely it is a still open tunnel carrying water.

For a STRAIGHT line I would guess a septic tank line (drain field).  Maybe water is following the mole tunnels; idk, sorry.
