Pros- it's warm all year round, there's some great night life and beaches, really good seafood, Cuban and other restaurants.

Cons- hurricanes, and the housing is fairly expensive- more than in other areas of Florida.

It is hot and muggy, the traffic is horrible, and there are many people there whose first language is not English. There are also many older people there who are there for the winter. They are from "up north", and they're very bossy. There is also a lot of crime there. Those are the cons. Oh, and they have hurricanes. The pros are that it's relatively warm in the winter and the beaches are nice (except for spring break).

Pros; generally speaking the weather is incredible.  Miami has one of if not the most diverse cultures in America.  Scenery wise, it's spectacular.  The "ocean" water is almost 80 degrees and it's April 14th.  Life can revolve around the sea and beach.  Girls on the beach are........oye.  You don't need a winter and summer wardrobe.  Flips flops year round, shorts year round.   Cheap flights to the Caribbean.

Cons:  Starting this week, the humidity switch flipped to high and we've got summer time temperatures (upper 80s, feels like over 100 degrees with humidity).  It takes very little exertion to work up a sweat. There is always the threat of a hurricane ruining your .... life.   Lot's of q-tips driving around.  It's not the cheapest place to live, but not as expensive as NYC or any California city.    If you drive on the highways, they kill you with tolls.  All tolling is electronic and they have an affinity for putting them bleeping everywhere.  Traffic can, okay it usually does suck.  Florida is very much a red state, if you're liberal/progressive the politics here will drive you crazy. Not necessarily in Miami, but Florida has more than its fair share of red necks. Then there are the invasive species, primarily iguanas.

    Pros:  There's lots of water

Cons:  It's really flat (I mean, really, REALLY flat).  There are frequent hurricanes. Many of their 'freeways' are actually tollways.
