Is the Jewish god the same god as the Christian god? Is it just described differently or is it a completely different god?

No...Jews believe God is One. Christians believe God is three. 

I'm agnostic and I'm not into comparing mythical man made beings. That's me done, have a great day now. :-)

I am a Christian who has talked about God with Jewish friends and We were talking about the same Abrahamic God who created the Earth and loves creation.  Like Jacob we wrestle with God— who we are to be, how we are to live and yet we all know Love is the basis of it.

As a Christian who came from a pagan heritage I know this God because of the spread of Christianity.  I believe Christ—Emmanuel God with us, and the Holy Spirit and God the father comprise one true God—and while I know God differently  (much like a clarinet knows a symphony different than a cello) the God of Abraham that my Jewish friends Worship is my  God.  

Christians believe that the Jewish God is not a singular entity, but a plurality. Compare Deuteronomy 6:4,5 with Matthew 22:37, and you should be able to draw some parallels.

   True Christian pray only to God Jehovah. When the Jew Jesus was on earth, he always prayed to his Father , not to anyone else.. We should do the same. (Matthew 4:10; 6:9)   The god of some religions is a Trinity. But this is not a Bible teaching.

There is only one True God.... The Creator........ The Creator commissioned both The Nation of Israel, and The True Church...... each has a separate covenant with God.... The Church did not come from The Nation of Israel......... a proper presentation of all of that would take a lot more space than YA allows........ if you have some basic questions about the God stuff... I would be glad to try to answer them for you....

Yes He is. However Christians know the fullness of truth about Him, revealed to us by God Himself when He came to Earth as Jesus Christ.

Sons of God have always reign as Lords: NONE of them are GOD the Creator Father. Hence the confusion.

We believe in the one, eternal God. Often, you will find us typing God as G-d or YHWH (Yaweh).

Different in understanding but they are both based on the ancient Canaanite god Yahweh, as is the Muslim god.

Yes, it is the same mythical deity.
