Thank you for your reply or Thank you for the reply?

When following up to an email response (general business enquiry) I typically answer "Thank you for the reply..." but Grammarly always pops up with "Thank you for your reply..."

Which is appropriate?

Since you are thanking the person who replied you should acknowledge that person by using "your" instead of the general term "the".

If you were speaking to a different person about the reply it would be correct to use "the".

    'your' sounds more personal.

Doesn't make any difference - you can use either one.
