Should I take my cat to the vet? ?

My cat has been wheezing and hacking for the past couple days more than usual, and actually more often in the past 2 months than usual. She’s hacked up very small amounts of hair that look more like vomit than hairballs. I think that she might have a large hairball she can’t hack up, but I’m not sure. I haven’t noticed much difference in her eating or pooping, maybe a little less than usual? The thing is that we’re leaving town today, and I want to take her to the vet but my family wants to leave tonight. Shoukd I make them stay so we can take her to the vet and make sure she’s okay? Or is it nothing serious?

It’s hard to say for sure, and it is important to go to a vet just in case. However if your cat is still eating drinking and pooping peeing there is no blockage. I think you could wait till after your trip, but I would take to a vet

Yes you need to take her to the vet, it is critical as this could be very serious.
