Ironic or what?

Just watched the British Grand Prix . Beforehand we had twenty guys , average earnings about £10m telling us about equality, followed by the national anthem praising the richest most privileged woman in the world ( well after Kim Kardashian).

Could they not see the irony?

On the plus side, half refused to take the knee. Take note spineless footballers!

Taking the Knee is just about the most pointless thing anyone can do. The  main protagonist of taking the knee in F1 is hardly a shining example of down trodden  used and abused minority is he.

I worked as a steward at the 2010 Silverstone GP and therefore got PAID £80 a day to watch the race in beautiful sunshine with accommodation and meals provided and it was STILL a waste of my weekend.

The most boring AF activity in the entire universe that just consumes god knows how much money and resources so really I could not care less about these pampered princes and their woke politics.

Specially Mr "look at me. Poor me. I is black innit?" Hamilton.

    Par for the course.

The born again (I was racially abused as a kid) SJW has been trying to get in on the ‘me too’ bandwagon, slavery chains, gripes about how hard his life was (even when given a leg up for you know.....the thing he cries about now), and how he had to flee to Switzerland to avoid the common folk in his slum town.

In F1 the best car wins, nowt terrifying about that, or people calling out hypocrites.

Lewis Hamilton (mix race, not 'black' even if he has taken his father's features) should get on with the job he's paid handsomely to do and leave politics out of SPORT.   'Taking the knee' as it's described to be, is as racist as anything any coloured person experiences.  And it's bullying to expect fellow competitors to do the same as him.

Mercedes should return their cars to the original silver, which they have historically always been - the Silver Arrows.

If good enough, people of colour will, like cream, always rise to the top.

Given up watching F1 a long time ago. If you’ve got the money you can compete.  Usually the richest wins.

Oh Lord...the hatred spewed on internet pages BEFORE Mr Hamilton's victory will get worse. I'm not a great fan of motor-racing, but (damn) witnessing the messages concerning the Stevenage-born man over the past few days has been terrifying. I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of us?

Motor racing is a prestige capitalist sport so there's nothing ironic there; don't follow the obscenely rich Grand Prix and its entourage if you're a Leveller.
