How do light scratches on new car happen?

I think this question is legitimate. The reason is i have a jet black truck that shows off the scratches and it didn’t take long for it to get scratched up. I bought the truck brand new in Idaho and if you’re from the NorthWest then you can guess the dealership. 

You’ll have to wash the car by hand. Avoid these touchless and wannabe General Grevious car washes with spinning brushes. I use a mitt, wash my truck by hand, and frequently rinse the mitt to avoid getting it clogged with dirt that will create even more scratches. 

The best part is, you’ll have to wax the car. This will not only hide scratches but it will help prevent them. I try to do 2 or 3 layers but I don’t always have time. I use the Meguiars Ultimate Paste wax as a base layer and if I can I’ll do 2 coats.... you’ll have to wait a day or two to apply the 2nd coat. Wait a day or two again, then apply a finish coat with something like Liquid Butter, Meguiars Gold paste wax, or something else that you like. 

When you drive there are bugs in the air if you're driving down the highway and a bug hits your car I can guarantee you that that bug hitting your car at 50 miles an hour is going to leave a hairline scratch
