For adding the denominators should be the same. So,
Multiply 3/5 with 2 to make denominator the same:
3/5 is now = 6/ 10
Thus,
6/10 + 3/10 = 9/10

To add fractions you have to make the ''the bottom numbers'' the same value.
So .. 3/5 + 3/10 becomes 6/10 + 3/10.
Now add ''the top numbers''.
Which is 9/10

early grade maths
get the common denominator ( the one on the bottom) and then add them up. So 3/5 is 6/10 see how I got that by multiply top and bottom by 2. Now you have 6/10 plus 3/10 is equal to 9/10
**** and I just passed grade 3 maths
