If you're writing about Jazz for a class report I suggest you do some research on Jazz Instead of asking for people's opinions, unless your teacher asked for opinions and not a report.There are those who will give you negative statements because they don't like Jazz. Why do you like the kind of music you like?

Some jazz music can be pretty boring, but others may be very entertaining. I used to sit around and listen to college students play jazz on campus at lunch and the music I heard bored me to tears.

Contemporary jazz has somewhat even broken through what jazz used to be "defined" as. To me it is just music without boundaries, mostly. I like that.
