Should an accusers identity be revealed?
If a person is charged with a crime, their name is usually revealed to the public. In some cases, the accusers identity is normally hidden. (such as in rape cases) If the person that has been accused is proven to be innocent, should the accusers identity be revealed to the public? If so, what if it was a 17 year old boy accusing his 20 year old female teacher of rape? Why or why not?

Yes many believe the accuser should be tried and Punished and Imprisoned as if the Committed the Crime they accuse the Innocent person of

I think that in the event that accusations are proven to be false, the accuser should be prosecuted. That would put the accusers name in the public sphere.

How totally stupid is this? Accuser's identities are NOT hidden or withheld, regardless if the charges are rape (the victom's identy is withheld).

This is something that in many countries is being challenged in law at the moment......... I have to say where I live the law states people are innocent until PROVEN in court to be guilty and so I would support someone accused of rape having their name kept hidden and a law in place to stop their name ( or details that could potential identifty them) being released.if they are found to be not guilty or the 'rape victim' admits they lied a named accused could have already lost their job, could have already been subject to public humiliation/attacks.......
