Can I represent myself in court?

Yeah you know I have that court case coming up so I had to hire that lawyer. He’s always telling me what to do and you know that’s annoying because I’m the one who hired him and is paying his money. My boy Barry told me I should either get a lawyer who will do what I say or just represent myself because who needs that headache? Is that allowed to represent myself?

If you think "is that allowed to represent myself" is a sentence, no, don't represent yourself until you finish high school (which you've also posted).

Unless you're a lawyer, you're going to be "cutting your own throat".  Law is much more complex than you think.........there are many rabbit holes that you don't know about.  Keep the lawyer.

It is, but you can't appeal if you are convicted and use lack of counsel as your basis for it.

If you understood law all that well why did you hire a lawyer do you know how to file the official court documents and to make motions in a court of law?

Unless you know what you're doing I would highly advise you to keep a lawyer and to listen to what that lawyer is telling you to do.

If you don't you might end up in a heck of a lot of problems

If you think "Is that allowed to represent myself" is a question, I'd suggest that you not represent yourself.  And your partner, Barry, I know nothing about him.

Is this related to the same sex relationship you have with Barry.  I'd suggest you find a Gay Pride attorney who will represent you without charge.

Why don't you ask your "boy" Kyle or Joel this question?

Sure can.  People who represent themselves usually lose

He who represents himself has a fool for a client.
