Ha! I just posted a video of Christiano Ronaldo in a question about women's football so I agree with one of the users here and very much understand.

However, there were many players when I was younger and first getting onto the game. Gordon Banks, Steve Heighway, Georgie Best and Peter Osgood.

So I became a half decent left winger/centre forward with a passion for dribbling but a failed goalkeeper as I was only about 4ft when I got my chance to go in goal. Unfortunately I was still putting the green shirt on when a guy shot from the half way line but fortunately I just got my arm through in time to push it onto the crossbar. However, that was my last touch as a goalkeeper ever I think.

    lol?

Kevin Keegan during his stay at Hamburg.

As great a player he was at Liverpool he became even better when playing in the Bundesliga. Won two Ballon d'Ors while playing for Hamburg including 1978 when England had failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Great footwork and a brilliant header of the ball for a man his height.

Not one player in particular made you fall in love with football, but rather teams.

However, in those early years when I became a football supporter, I did have a lot of respect for Maradona, Platini, Rummenigge, Voeller, Gullit, Van Basten, Matthaeus, Baresi, Haessler.

Paul Gascoigne. As a kid, he had the personality that made you love him, on the pitch he played like you wanted to as a kid.

Pele. He was the most daring and the  biggest risk taker.

Andy Goram. Actually a goalkeeper and the reason I was my school's team goalkeeper. Scottish legend.
