    In zoos.

There are also feral colonies that are descendants of deliberate or accidental releases.  North Carolina feral macaque colony is the largest, descended from lab animals.  Florida has a noteworthy colony descended from monkeys released by a tour guide.

These monkeys aren't native. It's strange that there aren't native monkeys in North America.  There were at one time, descended from South American monkeys (which themselves were descended from African monkeys).  We don't know why they're all gone.

  • Yes they are also called In-Laws.

Only in zoos and sanctuaries. There are no monkeys in the wild because we don’t have many jungles.

Its 38 acres, shaped like a lowercase r, are home to some unexpected residents—a troop of around 1,000 rhesus macaque monkeys.
