Net vs gross?
Imaging taking home what you actually earn? Wouldn't you rather take home those extra taxes and fees instead of it going to usa vermin? Imagine how much better life would be if the gov didn't steal from workers and give it to the nothings?

Sounds like a great idea. Who needs the EPA, the CDC, the National Parks, NASA, Fair Trade Commission, DIplomatic Missions, and of course the military with all those nasty bombs and guns and submarines and missiles. I'm sure that then you will be out there to tell the North Koreans and the Russians and the Chinese and all our other 'friends' to just leave us alone and let us have everything we want and don't bother us......cause the world is a kind, fair and lovely place where everyone just loves each other.

Great idea. So long as you don't expect the government to provide anything at all that you might want to use.

Oh, hey what a good idea. Then the government can forget about building and maintaining InterState highways, about building and maintaining dams and waterways, about forming and training a military, about managing and meting social security, about creating and operating the airways for commercial flights, about.....and more.
Get real guy.

That's just it. I don't want to fund schools, roads or anything that benefits the public. I don't care about the general public. I'm only concerned about my family. Everyone else can .....

You've clearly never taken macroeconomics. If everyone took home their gross instead of their net, the money supply would increase, and when supply increases, inflation happens, so everyone keeping their gross would result in a shift in the supply curve of money with such effect that the dollar's buying power would decrease and the increase in dollar amount would be offset by that reduced buying power at a new equilibrium of supply and prices that you would actually not have any more buying power than before. True income, income adjusted for inflation would remain flat.
On a macro level, changes in tax amounts will have an effect on taxpayer income in the very short-run, but in the long-run, no longer than two quarters, the change in money supply will equalize such that the buying power of taxpayers will be the same as it was before. Macroeconomic research has so conclusively proven time and again in study after study that taxes don't actually reduce the real income of taxpayers across the board but only increase the government's control over the economy that it is a fundamental law of macroeconomics.
So if taxpayers got their gross instead of their net, they wouldn't be financially ahead in the long-run. All that will have been accomplished is the government would have less control over the economy. But with that, roads aren't being built or maintained, schools aren't being funded, emergency services aren't being funded, the military isn't being funded, etc. So how long do you think you can continue working your job and earning your living when the entire infrastructure that enables that and secures that ebbs away to nothing?

Taxes are used for roads, sewers, the defense of our nation etc. Imagine what life would be like if the nation had no defense, no roads, no sewers, etc. Taxes are not bad. It is the misuse of our tax dollars by our political leaders that is bad.

imagine a country without firefighters, ambulances, hospitals, maintained roads, a military, welfare, etc. etc. Honestly I'd give it a week until it falls apart (at best). Also why would the company you work for pay you when they could just enslave you instead?

Econ 101: Employers make salary offers that they know will attract good employees. If taxes, medical insurance, etc. weren't being taken out, they would make lower salary offers. Every intelligent person knows that you get a salary offer, you figure what the take home would be, then you look at what that will get you in terms of housing, etc. Meanwhile, you enjoy driving on paved roads, having police and fire protection, and all the other things that are paid for with tax money. All of us have ways that we would like to see our taxes spent- that's why we elect representatives to Congress, which sets the budget. They don't always make every one of us happy, but they make some people happy some of the time. Some of us, for example, would prefer not to have people starving on the street, which is what I assume you mean by not giving money to the "vermin".

It would, but most of the taxes you pay will come back to you when you retire. Where do you THINK Social Security funds come from? God, perhaps?

Have to be super rich to take home your gross income.
