Do any southerners ever go to Miami for winter vacations ?

It's much warmer in Miami than it is in Atlanta, Tennessee, or the Carolinas in the winter time isn't it?

You are correct, it's warmer in Miami than Atlanta/TN/NC in the winter.

Typical Dec/Jan day in S. Florida sees a daytime high in the 70s.  Occasionally it will be in the 80s or the 60s.  There is a reason people flock to Florida in the winter.

We do all the time.  Miami/Ft Lauderdale, The Keys, even only as far down as Amelia Island

Not me. It doesn't get that cold for that long in Georgia. I'll tough it out. However, if you're single, you may want to give it a try. I've never seen so many beautiful women in one place.

yes, miami is warm. but i wouldn't be traveling out of town unless it's a must
