“But when yоu pray, use nоt vain repetitiоns, as the heathen dо: fоr they think that they shall be heard fоr their much speaking.”

    - Matthew 6:7

In other words, it doesn't matter how. Just be sincere about it.

Imagine that you really ARE a believer in some God or other.

AND you've gone on a mission to convert the Unbelievers.

AND they took umbrage, hung you by your heels from a tree branch, and are going to take turns smacking your head with sticks.

Would your favourite God NOT accept your prayers, at that moment, because you are not KNEELING?

Any God or Goddess who is THAT anal retentive about bodily positions while praying, is not WORTHY of worship.

No but its perfectly acceptable, a show of humility

1 Timothy 2:8 KJV — I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Do we need to be in a special position when we pray?

No, God doesn’t ask us to kneel, sit, or stand when we pray.

The Bible teaches us that we can talk to God in any respectful position. (1 Chronicles 17:16; Nehemiah 8:6; Daniel 6:10; Mark 11:25)

What is most important to God is, not our position when we pray, but that we talk to him with the right attitude.

We can pray out loud or silently wherever we are and at anytime during the day or night. When we pray  to God, we can trust that he will hear us even when nobody else does.

    Nope, not at all.

The "real" God hates beggars, and he dislikes it

when his creations try to 'look' like they are begging.

God is not vain enough to let something like

your posture bother him when you pray.

    "Pray without ceasing;

in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).

'Prayer' is our version of the 'Internet' and involves constant communion with all fellow believers. We are never 'disconnected' from it. All 'postures' taken while communing are spontaneous and occur in response to the presence of persons of various levels of authority. Those who have greater authority fill us with great levels of respect and we respond in the way that feels appropriate, which is usually to bow the knee as we converse. In the presence of GOD, we lie prostrate on the ground. Very few beings actually stand in the Presence of GOD. Most are called 'archangels.' Most believers have never been in the actual presence of GOD, interacting instead with angelic messengers of very low authority who pass messages down the line and back again from Christ.

The apostle Paul knelt in the Presence of Christ as he prayed, but his initial encounter caused him to fall on the ground and even lose his eyesight. Personal holiness is what allows us to take on postures considered more 'casual.' Moses sat across from the Angel of the Lord and spoke with Him 'as a man speaks with his friend' inside a tent tabernacle. This is also how Christ conversed with angels and members of the holy kingdom.

Disrespect is sin. GOD teaches us how to demonstrate respect for Him by requiring that we first show due respect to all existing authorities around us. This even includes Satan, who is basically pure evil, (2 Peter 2:11, Jude 1:9).

We do not actually 'honor' Satan with our actions, but we are not permitted to slander him. Likewise, a believer can be recognized by their refusal to slander ANY authority, since no human authority is as evil as Satan.

No, it is not. I don't do anything on my knees. Too painful.

Why do people keep asking if something is a sin - don't Christians even know their own rules?

    🥴😊

    No.

However, the more humble you are and the more sacrifice you make... the faster God answers prayers.

So... its not required to kneel. But if I can, I try to do it often out of the utmost respect for a higher power.
