dont try give the dog no food because then the pet owner will find out and then they will knockin your door ask your a question. anyway if you want to keep the dogs not to bark you. you can buy some brushes trees from garden depot store and put by your fences where the dogs wont able see you through the fences . or you can get yourself and dog treats or a dog milk bones then slide throught the fences make sure you dont get caught by your neighbors . if you dont want to heard the dogs barking alouder maybe can buy a headset radio and put that on your ears and just listening some music there you wont able cant heard the dogs barking other side of the fences.

You can't correct his behavior without his owner's permission. Then I would use a shake can and treats. Give the can a sharp shake and immediately when he pauses barking toss him a treat. Repeat it a few times then ignore him. If he stops barking while you're ignoring him, say "Good dog" and toss a treat.
Hopefully he will decide that you aren't such a danger and will watch for another treat to come sailing over.
But get the owner's permission before trying anything.

I would suggest asking the dog owners first, but you could present the pooch with a large chew toy or bone to enjoy while you are working in your yard?
I once had a neighbor with a dog who barked when I was in my yard. Very annoying!
Poochie also barked when intruders were in the yard. Twice, the dog alerted me to 'home intruders' who were in my yard! Twice, the bad guys were arrested and were found to be the perpetrators of serious crimes in my neighborhood.
Poochie protected me!

You are in the dogs visual territory, he is just protecting his territory. You can put up a fence the dog can't see you through. A visual barrier will stop the dog from barking unless it hears you on the other side of the fence.
You could make friends with the dog if the owners would allow it. Visual barrier is probably the best course of action.
Are you new to the neighborhood or is the dog new in the area? Has this been going on for a long time or a short time?
Can you call the neighbor or go over & talk about putting the dog in the house when you are outside working? Do other neighbors get barked at or is it just you?

If your neighbors won't stop the dog from barking after a friendly word from you, then try turning your hosepipe on the dog when it barks at you. A couple of times of doing that should shut it up.

Get a dog training whistle, They are a couple of dollars on eBay. Dogs hate the noise. Every time the dog barks, blow the whistle. It will soon learn.
