Can you survive in temperature -40°C  (-40°F) ?

    Yes, if properly prepared/equipped but not for long.

    Yes. I have been in temperature that cold several times in Yellowstone National Park during the winter. I had many layers of clothes covering my body of course. If you went out in that wearing nothing but underwear, you would quickly get severe frostbite and hypothermia.

    If dressed appropriately yes.

    PS: Did you know - 40 is the same whether if in Celsius / Centigrade or Fahrenheit ?

    People around the world survive those temps. If you were stranded in those temps, survival would be very hard.

    I think I could survive -40`F better than I could -40`C.
